If you get the chance sell Alex on the great education one receives at Pitt. I am convinced that those of you who are from/grew up in the Pittsburgh area miss that point on a consistent basis!!!

I don't think many care about a 3 star from McKeesport. If he comes, great...if not, whatever.
Why because you don't know him. ,?
What's the difference between him and other 3 Stars (from pa and other states)people like you get excited about ?
Why don't you research the kid and give him a chance before shutting him down.

I don't think he lost weight "for wrestling". He was in the 285 lb weight class all year. His initial weight assessment was well under 285, so let's not make it sound like this was some kind of weight cut for wrestling. Maybe wrestling helped him to shed some useless fat?

I take the same attitude about 5 star kids. Either you want to be here or you don't. I'd rather recruit numerous 3 star kids from FL, OH or NJ.
Exactly my point Pantherdave ! What makes a 3 star kid from those states any different than one from PA except for your perception. Your statement makes no sense and is biased either against McKeesport kids, PA kids, or kids YOU DON'T KNOW. A 3 star is a 3 star period.
And where did you get that he doesn't want to be here. Actually he has family that is Pitt alumnus and he like s Pitt, not saying he will end up here but in the end Pitt will be in the running.

And Kreizter I am aware of his weight class and how he did in wrestling but that is te statement made by his mother and I'm not about to call a friend a liar. So maybe she is right and maybe you are does it really make a difference ? But why make it a negative ?

I think we can ALL agree that a 3 star from FL is flat out better than 3 stars in PA. Example: RB Bruce Judson in last years class was a 3 star in Florida. In PA, he's the 2nd best back behind Swift. And I never said he didn't want to be here. read a little closer next time. I said IF he doesn't want to be here, it isn't a big loss.

How can that question be wrong? I was asking you.

Feel free to be defensive. Seems as though you do. :)
OK. Historically every time someone mentions a recruit from McKeesport someone on this board invariably says Pitt shouldn't bother because McKeesport kids don't go to Pitt. So I was just wondering who was going to say it first.

But it was you who brought it up.

No one else. So it is you. :)

I think we all know what you mean, but you said it first.
