I have Pitt ending the year at 13-18 and 5-15 in the ACC. Figured with the season starting tomorrow I would throw something up, I really hope that I'm wrong though.

Hard to say without Horton. He isnt a great player but they only have 3 scholarship guards. Without him, just 2 and 1 is injured. People are saying Horton doesn't add any wins. I totally disagree with that. Without him, I can see like 2-18 or 3-17. I dont know how you can win in the ACC with 2 guards.

No matter who is or isn't on the team, I don't see Pitt winning more than 2 ACC games this year. Maybe not that much. Possibly 10-21 for the season including OOC. That's being optimistic. It's not going to be a very satisfying year at all.

17-14 but more like 14-17 just one more big time guard away from a winning season! They might surprise us I like the make up of this team. HTP

I don't know, but I would be shocked if we even beat all the scrub teams on our schedule. Out of The Citadel, UNC Wilmington, Towson, UMBC, Colgate, Monmouth, and Jacksonville, I expect to lose at least one or two. And I'd probably go with 10 wins or so for the season.

They also need to come up with a better system in determining the conference teams you play twice.

Haha we may have some big surprising wins as we’ve tended to the last couple years…. But I don’t think UVA will be one of them.

If Burton isn’t back by then we might not score 35.

I mean we'll probably lose 40-20 but they're not good. I don't think they'll end up in the top 25 like they are now.

Thought we could win 16-19 games prior to Nike and Horton issues. I think 13-14 wins maximum now and it is a shame because the conference is weak and we could have been competitive if we had our complete roster.

As bad as the ACC is, I don't see how we can win more than 2 or 3 games with only 2 scholarship guards. With Horton and Sibande, I thought there was a slight chance we could have overachieved and won 8, 9, 10, games though I would have predicted 7-13

Holding out faint hope that the light goes on for Hugley and Jeffress by January and they begin to play like all-ACC guys.

Unfortunately, I am thinking the same thing. I sure hope Pitt football finishes strong because it is going be a long year on the hard court.

We are not jinxed. Capel is just as awful head coach.

Fair. So by whom and when should he be replaced? Nobody is beating the door down to coach our Panthers and we just got rid of a terrible coach and can't do another buyout.

I think no matter how much complaining and whining we do, this guy Capel is here for at least until the end of his contract. We're not buying anyone out now. And if anyone needs to be bought out, it's him.

This year could make a Stallings year look good in comparison. That's how bad of a coach Capel is. Hell, Stallings was even capable of recruiting a little bit. Capel can't get out of his own way. He can't coach, he has no clue what defense is, he has built a toxic culture in Pitt basketball, and he can't recruit. If you believe Mintz is coming to Pitt, maybe I have some beachfront property in Nebraska I can sell you.
