Here is my conspiracy theory. Although there is some Politicians protesting DOGE cuts, it’s actually pretty superficial. More grass roots than politically initiated.
Why? Well because most Democrats are happy to see the cuts. A lot of them are coming in areas that normally are viewed as Republican in nature. So Dems are willing to allow this sacrifice.
It’s not hard to imagine that many of the Trump moves will be only slightly effective and come 2028 the country will still seem like nothing good is going on. If so, a Democrat running on “fixing” the DOGE mistakes might resonate. So let’s say that President Elect Stephen A Smith says there will be DOGE repairs on Day One.
The repairs start with areas that are “pets” of Democrats but dang it he can’t fix those departments that were viewed as GOP leaning.

That's a hell of a conspiracy. Especially considering that it will be very difficult to impossible for any Dem to win the White House in 2028. They don't have any qualified candidates and their ideologies are left of Karl Marx.

That's true. I understand where you're coming from. However, I also believe that the Trump administration, not just Trump, will also have a lot more success in achieving their goals and settling America down while cleaning up the mess left by the Biden regime.
It will still take a qualified Dem candidate to arise out of the ashes of their recent destruction in addition to the country still being in some type of major mess. They have no one qualified to run for president.
