who got the best draw to get to the FF? We might have to beat SMU and Louisville for a third time. Thoughts?
I wrote down the brackets as they were being given, live. At first glance, Penn State seems to have the "easiest" bracket, followed by Nebraska. Ours and Louisville look tougher. Our top 4 are pretty formidableTo help (at least for me) here is the bracket: https://www.ncaa.com/brackets/volleyball-women/d1/2024
I’m happy with Pitt’s draw. Oregon and TCU in the 16 are very beatable, and then neither Kentucky or SMU scare me much in Pittsburgh. We wouldn’t face Louisville until the Final 4, and hopefully either Purdue or Stanford could take them out first. Even if they don’t, we know we can beat them in the Yum. Nebraska has Wisconsin and Penn State has Texas and Creighton so I think we got the best draw (as we should as the #1)who got the best draw to get to the FF? Yeah- I like our draw. Really have a clear path to the final 4 and are objectively better than Louisville and Stanford.I like Pitt's draw too. I think Texas and Creighton will be a handful for Penn State. I am happy we don't (likely) have to face Wisconsin.
The fact PSU has to go through Utah and Texas/Creighton makes their path interesting. Texas won't just be an easy out and Utah is sneaky good. I wouldn't be shocked if UNC gave PSU a fit this weekend. They will definitely enjoy having home court and that helps.I like Pitt's draw too.
