OT…”old guy” Tyson wins tonight

Welp Iron Mike couldn’t get it but credit to doing the whole fight.

Next up for Jake Paul… Rocky Balboa… to then be followed up with a special historical match up tag team opponent vs the ghosts of Mohammed Ali and Apollo Creed.

I think Tyson let him know how it would have gone in the first 30 seconds. Then Paul kept holding and Tyson completely backed off, because that's what he was paid for.
Actually gained the absolute minimum amount of respect for Paul because it was painfully obvious he was holding back. He could have taken Tyson's head off if he pushed him just a little. But if he was going to hold back that much, it never should have been a professional fight.

My Irish forefathers are laughing. Pretty damn sure my old man took it more seriously than this..... I sure know I did fighting back 😉

All kidding aside...... waste of time.

The real fight is tomorrow watching Pitt kick the hell out of Clemson.

There are only three states (out of the 30-something that have legalized gambling) that didn't allow bets on the fight.

Which means that most places, including Las Vegas, think it's on the up and up.

And the reason that PA is not allowing bets isn't because they think it's fixed, it's because they think it's a farce. The two minute rounds and the pillows for gloves are the actual reasons (or at least some of the reasons).
The handle on this fight was the biggest in Las Vegas in many years, and will be more than any single NFL game on Sunday. I think it took everyone by surprise to be honest. A friend of mine that works at Caesars said he took a 500k bet yesterday and a 300k wager today, both on Paul.

I’m assuming that those that thought Tyson had any kind of legitimate chance had forgotten that he was getting KO’d by untalented white guys when he was in his 30’s, not sure why it would be any different at age 58. The whole Tyson is a lunatic and will win with his craziness was a farce as well. His personality changed years ago and he hasn’t been that bad guy for a long time, if you ever run into him he is pretty much always approachable and friendly.

This had a lot in common with the Mayweather/McGregor fight a few years ago, nothing is easier money than when the public thinks an underdog has a legitimate chance to win, and you see what should be a huge favorite go off ridiculously short priced. This ended up where the books had a major opinion on one side and had way more exposure on Tyson but rolled the dice that Paul and the sharp money was going to win.

That and they didn't really fight. If this was a regular fight with pro fighters they might be getting their purse withheld. This was an exhibition that somehow ended up sanctioned.

I contend that if you watch the first 30 seconds, it shows who would have won in a real fight. There was an agreement.

I contend that you're a fool if you believe a 58-year old man with a bum knee was going to be able to keep up with a 27-year old who spends $millions per year training for the past 4-5 years. You could walk into any gym and find a dozen guys that would have knocked Tyson out last night. I'm not talking about a boxing gym, I'm talking about your local Planet Fitness.

People talk about power being the last thing to go when talking about fighter in their late 30's...not nearing social security eligibility. I mean everyone was amazed at how old Foreman was for his comeback, dude was 23 years younger than Tyson when he won the championship belt.

Foreman was in his 40s when he won the title against Moore.

If this were a real fight, with regular rounds and standard sizes gloves, Tyson would stop Paul in round 1. Don't give me any garbage about Paul being anywhere near a legit boxer because he spends millions on training. So what? He should fight an average pro fighter in his with class.

I don’t think this will be fixed. If Paul happens to get his ass kicked or ko’ed it won’t have any adverse impact on his boxing “career”.
I think you’re wrong . If he loses the con job is over. Nobody will watch anymore cause people want to see him get knocked out.
I don’t care that he’s 58

He’s had a real boxing career, muscle memory, he’s got the “crazy switch “ that can flip at any time…. This Paul guy has horrible looking form and I know very little about boxing.
seems to me you couldn’t recognize a scam and a con job if it hit you in the face. . Tyson is 60 , lost his last 4 fights, broke needs $, and the Jake Paul scam con job tour would be over if he loses to a 60 year old . It’s a fake exhibition to make cash for all involved. To top it off Pennsylvania pulled the ability to bet on the fight . Tells u all u need to know.

It absolutely was a farce. But there were still a lot of people who were dumb enough to think that Tyson had a chance to win. And who bet a lot of money on that thought.
