OT: 2022-2023 NBA Season Thread

AD gets a bad rap. Kevin Durant is way more deserving of the “Street Clothes” nickname than AD.

Really? Durant averages more games played per season, even considering that one season he played zero games. Durant has six years where he has played more games than Davis has in any season in the league. Durant is four years older, and yet even with all his injuries he's still played more games in the last three seasons than Davis has.

You forgot to include @Ski11585 hatred of Durant in your calculation. :)

It is understandable with her dad playing and being 9 years old, but would you let your child do this at a game and is there an age cutoff?
Welcome to the age of entitlement. I wouldn't be too happy paying the likely high ticket prices for seats in that area and having to listen to that nonsense. But obviously no fan or security is going to do anything in that situation given how the media would undoubtedly spin that narrative.

Just because something maybe works, doesn't make it right. That obviously applies in many facets of life.

Yes. Because doing obnoxious things during free throws is definitely a new thing that reflects an “Age of Entitlement.”

Never happened before. No sir.

The playoffs are going to be great this year. My Knicks are at least in the mix. Brunson has brought a whole new dimension to this team and the young players are developing nicely. All of the sudden the Knicks have multiple quality trade assets. I guess this is what happens when competent executives are in charge? Now if only dickhead Dolan would sell. I can’t stand that egomaniac.

I’m so excited they are playing Cleveland because I can actually afford to go to a playoff games at the Q. Tickets in msg are at least $325 a game. I’m going to go to game 2 for about 50 bucks a ticket once sales settle on Gametime. you really can’t beat it.

What do you guys think of the Knicks this year? Do you agree with me that they will beat the cavs in this first round series?

Happy start of the NBA season everyone! Great games on tonight. The TNT crew just signed new contracts. It’s gonna be a good year.

Predictions

Champs: Bucks over Nuggets (I want to pick the Clippers but I can’t bet on their health - Kawahi hasn't played a full game in ages and PG has had a ton of surgeries. But they're a sexy pick.)

MVP: Embiid finally gets his due and continues the streak of big men winning MVP.

Tankapalooza winners of the Wembanyana sweepstakes: Spurs
Missed on the bucks but otherwise spot on.

Who you got in the finals? and the winner there? My head likes Boston and the Lakers, with the Lakers winning it. The rest of me would like to see Boston-Denver, not sure who I'd like there, maybe slight lien towards Denver.

I really want to see LeBron win #5 but I like Jokic a lot and think he took unfair heat for his past playoff performances and they have a much better shot at beating the Celtics.

But probably….

Denver in 6
Boston in 5
Denver in 7
