OT: first half SB commercials

I wouldn't be surprised if this girl is some sort of elaborate set up for an ad campaign. She may be a good athlete, able to play a few games in garbage time for a JC team, and just being used and paid to be girl power football player role model.
There was a story on a high school wr a few years back, somewhere in eastern pa. Kid had one arm but was actuelly a very good wr.
I thought it was some feel good story where they let him play a play in garbage time, where the opposing team was in on it too but it was legit. Kid was a very good wr who had lower level college offers.

Run someone better next time. That's actually a pretty low bar, iId think. But HC was awful. Normally safe Democrat voters who hated her was what did HC in.
As far as the ads, anyone should have been able to pay for whatever ad they wanted. Serious, agenda driven, even insulting if they wanted... but my own point was that in the Super Bowl, i'm only looking for funny, entertaining ads. If it isn't, i'm switching over to the Puppy bowl.
my kids watched the kitten bowl and liked it.. The dude from Lois and Clark announced it, sad to see what happened to his career.. Regading the kitten bowl, it wasn't that exciting but my little kids loved it. The highlight was the north shore bengals bringing in a "one eyed" cat as the enforcer and showed highlights of this kitten fighting other cats and making "one eyed" jokes. it made a boring game a tad entertaining..

yes, triggered conservatives are the reason comedians now avoid college campuses like the plague when once upon a time it was their go-to place for cutting edge stuff......kind of a shame
This whole super bowl was about everyone being sensitive and scared to upset the Apple cart. From everyone claiming they weren’t going to perform halftime in protest, to the damn over the top touchy feely ads. At least Hyundai went funny but sadly had to apologize the next day. Poor vegans have thin skin. I was a vegan/vegetarian for 20 years, the food does have an acquired taste once you clean your system of crap. But hell, I always laughed at myself showing up to family meals with a tofurkey. I laughed my ass off at being made fun of for bringing vegan dishes. My buddy always joked about how I was the biggest vegetarian at 175 pounds and not 100 pounds if all I ate were plants.
Maybe the super bowl commercial circus has slowed down. It used to be as big as the game itself but doesn’t seem to get the buzz anymore. Yeah, still expensive as ever but companies don’t seem to be going overboard with coming up with the craziest commercials anymore.
It says a lot that the NBA got as much chatter as it did during the week before the super bowl.
This seems true, the past couple years have been pretty pedestrian, even the most entertaining.
How is tofurkey? Is it at all palatable?
I have made some "healthy" chili with soy crumbles or whatever other yummy name it has ... really not much different at all vs ground beef.
I actually really like tofurkey and the stuffing on the inside is really good. I guess it’s spelled Tofurky. I can eat meat now but do buy tofurky and other fake meat when I need a break from meat.

Hyundai with Jason Bateman was the best, and NFL 100 was epic...and if you like good TV, watch Ozark on Netflix (think Breaking Bad with a great cast of characters, and Breaking Bad had great characters as well)...

Ozark is fantastic. Dark, suspense, characters to love and hate, and just keeps you interested.
Best show. Love it. I hated the wife but finally 1/2 way thru last season, I’m starting to like her again.

Interestingly, I Googled it, and it's a D1 NAIA School. So just yesterday, my daughter get's a recruiting email from them for girls soccer. So I go back to the website, look at the women's soccer roster and they have girls from all over the country and foreign countries too- strange for a small college in Kansas or anywhere really. I wouldn't be surprised if they just get every club soccer and high school sports mailing list and recruit every name on it.
