OT: Haley at it again

defenseless receiver, they called one earlier in the game when Wheaton was hit over the middle. This one was way worse by Shazier
You don't know the rules-the ruling was that the RB turned up field took two steps and was no longer a defenseless receiver.

Using the eye test he was just as defenseless as Wheaton was, and Shazier's hit using his helmet as a weapon was worse than the Bengal defender who used his shoulder.

To me he seemed like a defenseless receiver but it's over now

Tomlin might cost them the game by going for 2 earlier.

I get that they are good at going for two and they like to do it often, but that was not the right place for it. It seems that Tomlin doesn't even consider game situations when deciding to go for two or not.

I wonder if he is actually in control. I think Ben decided to go for two and Tomlin has no control over what he does

Wasn't nearly as bad as going for 2 up 11 last week. Maybe a little dicey as I'd take my chances on McCarron having to convert two 2 pt conversions, but it's at least debatable.

I get that if you go for two there and make it it's a huge advantage. But as I've said before you just cannot make these decisions under the assumption that the best case scenario is going to be the outcome.

If you kick the point and go up 16 then not only do the Bengals have to make two two pointers to tied the game if they score two touchdowns, you are also in the situation where if they go for it after the first one and don't get it you've got a ten point lead. A TD and a field goal doesn't beat you. Taking the point there opens up a lot more good possibilities for you than the risk of not making it seems worth.

Oh jesus hell.

who do you think carries more weight in that organization, Ben or Tomlin?

I remember back in 2011, Ben had a knee injury (could barely move), but he started against San Francisco on a Monday night game. Keep in mind he couldn't move at all, and they had a good backup in Batch. I was of the opinion that Ben decided he was going to play, and that Tomlin did not have the power to tell him he was not going to play. Anyway they lost the game, didn't win the division because of that loss, went to Denver as a wild card and lost to Tebow.

That was just one instance of several since Tomlin took over

If the steelers lose, it's on fathead Ben- all those $hit plays in the red zone- 15 points- ridiculous.

Del. The Steelers have 12 penalties for 150 yards in a playoff game. That is what i call a undisciplined football team. That is on the head coach.

Refs stole a TD return on the fumble, let cheap shot artist target players. And this is an allegedly top team?
Steelers had to be penalized for excessive celebration after a turnover, i guess running the ball to the tunnel doesn't count.

These refs make ACC refs look like All-Stars

I don't want to see this team play anymore this year, this is outrageous. From the play calling to the undisciplined play I have had enough

That was the worst undisciplined game ive ever seen. What a bunch of hoodlums. If i am a Cinncy fan. I wouldn't watch another game until Lewis is fired

Todd Haley called an awful game last night. Dink and dunk passes all night, then Jones in at QB, 3rd and 4 and they try a deep pass. That was THE dumbest play call of all time.
