Off topic since this is Saturday night football, but quick question. We just got back home from a quick 36 hour trip and our heating and a/c is broken. All the numbers were stuck 88 on the thermostat and the house sure felt like it was at 88 degrees. Had it set at 70 when we left. We’ve never had this problem before, ever.

Anyone know of what may be the problem or have a solution? Trying to find a quick fix so it isn’t a sauna in here until Monday. Thanks.

Need a thermostat

Mayne the power went out? Comes back on and resets (or maybe not)?
Yeah, but it wouldn’t let us turn it back down. It’s almost like it’s stuck. We plugged the thermostat back in and even when we had it off, it was still blasting heat. Odd.

If your thermometer has batteries, check those. Mine can get squirrelly when the batteries get low.
