Crazy to think that ‘Sid the Kid’ turns 36 today, not so much a kid nowadays. He entered the league in 2005, which also happened to be the year Andrew McCutchen and Heath Miller were drafted in the first round by the Pirates and Steelers. Two MVPs and the best TE in Steelers history… not a bad draft year for Pittsburgh’s pro sports teams.
For my fellow Pittsburgh sports fans and sports trivia buffs: is there any year that rivals that type of draft class pedigree? Perhaps in the pre-Penguins days?
