Spoiler alert












1. he’s either laughing at the hurt and pain caused to the Wayne family as revenge .
2. Laughing at imagining all the chaos he wants to create , by imagining the entire movie while in the room.

I think it’s kinda mix- I think did instigate the riot - but the Wayne family killing didn’t actually happen yet

the comic The Killing Joke was clearly the inspiration . And the basic premise is the Joker’s life and origin are multiple choice - there isn’t a straight line story .
