Vilka"s on route 88 just north of the world famous Tennyson Lodge.
The fish is as fresh as any in the city. Scallops are fantastic.
I am really particular about scallops. I love them, think they are one of the sea's greatest treasures. But so many restaurants do so many unscrupulous things with them (packed in sodium biphosphate solution to keep white) old, frozen, gritty........interesting, haven't checked that place out yet. never one to turn down good scallops..
Scallops at a bistro then Tennyson lodge after, that's a heck of a night IMO..
scallops is one thing I could eat every day for the rest of my life.. I could never get sick of scallops, ever.. cant say I can taste the difference between fresh and old scallops though. maybe I've never had bad scallops, or maybe I've never had great scallops and don't know what im missing..I am really particular about scallops. I only order them when I know they are fresh. If you see a $19.99 scallop dish?? Do not order, or do so if you don't know what fresh scallops are like.
One of mine too.repeat trips.
