is this product as bad as I think it is? Or is it just me? I couldn’t watch a minute of the Thursday night game and now I’m Trying to watch the Steelers now and having a hard time doing so. Are the owners and the players association legislating themselves out of a good product?

My lord. I’m going to take a nap now.

First targeting ejection in Bengals game. I’m sure there are more to follow.

It is bad. I am not at the place you are, but they are changing the game to a place they should not. Instead of rule changes to make the game safer, how about investing in hs football to teach proper technique so these head hits don't happen.

How about the fact that the union limits what these guys do at camp, and then ownership and coaches are so fearful of injuries and protecting their investments that these guys barely have any snaps under their belts come week 1. Roethlisberger and AB look terrible.

Still a lot of game left, but Nate Peterman is stinking out the joint again.

Not sure how many more chances he’s going to get as there will be a lot of pressure to play Allen early.

Big Ben has looked mediocre in road games for years. Of course throwing with the wet ball isnt helping.

Tyrod Taylor is a scrub, Pittsburgh is lucky they arent going against a good qb today, although their defense does look better. It is hard to tell when you are playing against Taylor.

Taylor is a decent game manager that needs a successful running game to succeed. Doesn’t turn it over much because he rarely takes shots downfield.

Trust me Taylor sucks I had NFL Sunday Ticket last season and watched Buffalo's games. First off there was a reason he was benched last season and Peterman started (and had the 5 interception game). When I hear anyone say Taylor led Buffalo to the playoffs last season I know I am dealing with a buffoon.

Taylor used to be able to throw the deep ball but he cant even do that anymore. I really have a hard time believing Mayfield wont be the starter by Week 4 at the latest.

Is there a stat somewhere on avg number of flags per game comparing now vs yesteryear of the 80' s and 90's?

More flags because the players today commit penalties on every play. I imagine they are taught this. If you watch a pass play the db is holding the receiver on every play, and on many plays the wideout shoves off the db. The mindset is the officials cant call a penalty on every play, so we will commit penalties on every play and take our chances.

Blame the players/coaching staffs for the increase in penalties.
