Hard ball how?So what was the excuse before Peduto?
If Pitt wants cooperation, they should play more hardball.
But... that's too hard... just like a stadium. Easier for admins to collect a nice salary and go with the flow.
200 year old pipes clearly his fault. That's Franklin not the Dalai!
The fool residents of Pittsburgh get poisoned water, crappy roads, lousy schools, a heavy tax burden and a mayor who travels more often and to better places than a billionaire's Mistress.
What a bunch of chumps.
Written like a true chump.200 year old pipes clearly his fault.
Speak for yourself regarding schools .
We love our pps school.
You think the citizens paid for his vacation?
You’re silly
Why do guys bother dying their headtop hair if they're not gonna shave or dye their gray beard?
Seems counterintuitive too me.....just wondering.
Which one of the Smith Brothers is he????Why do guys bother dying their headtop hair if they're not gonna shave or dye their gray beard?

I didn’t know Kris Kringle was the mayor of Pittsburgh. Why do guys bother dying their headtop hair if they're not gonna shave or dye their gray beard?

Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peturdo uses Pittsburgh tax money to travel abroad. He does it all the time. He travels abroad a lot on tax money
Scroll down to the good mayor 's photo with the Dalai Lama,
My son loves his school and it is great.
I knew the tax rates when we bought a home.
Just like anyone else.
Major plumbing infrastructure has been underway.
We bought a system for our house to be on the safe side.
My guess is you don’t get a vote on the mayor.
Some of us like living in the city.
To each their own
If you really love the Pittsburgh Public School System, you are in denial and/or were educated there. That school system is terrible.200 year old pipes clearly his fault.

I do love my son’s school. If you really love the Pittsburgh Public School System, you are in denial and/or were educated there. That school system is terrible.
Really? I went through the Pittsburgh Public School system.I do love my son’s school.
Teachers and principal are great and he’s thriving.
No denial
A giant ahole who would never be Mayor if the Allegheny county suburbs voted for the Mayor of Pittsburgh!!!!!!You’re missing the point.
Peduto should be promoting the city.
His wearing a Ped State hat shows where his heart is.
Wonder what else is in his wardrobe - a Dallas Cowboys T shirt?
He’s an Ahole.
Why would they vote for the mayor?A giant ahole who would never be Mayor if the Allegheny county suburbs voted for the Mayor of Pittsburgh!!!!!!
There are good schools and bad schools in the city.Really? I went through the Pittsburgh Public School system.
Thankfully, I got into Pitt because of my parents pushing education.
I can't say that for the schools in Pittsburgh.
My language choices were Latin, Latin or Latin.
The were no Calculus or pre-Calculus courses.
Actually, there were no advanced classes at all.
Take a look at Pittsburgh's average SAT scores compared to most other school districts in western PA. They are dreadful.
I'm happy that you child is thriving.
Too bad that when comparing the effectiveness of school districts, Pittsburgh lags behind.
There are good schools and bad schools in the city.
Parents are the 1 variable to outcomes.
But I’ll point out in your rebuke- that crappy school enables you acceptance to a very good college.
So- not so bad, eh?
No doubtVery true there are good and bad schools in PPS system. 90% are bad, 10% are good, all the politically connected send their kids to the 10% that are good and the rest send their kids to the crap schools unless they are either lucky or find a way to work the system. There is a big difference between Allderdice and Carrick/Barshaer/Westinghouse.
Why would they vote for the mayor?
They aren’t his constituents.
Based on county politicians, and state and pa district voting- I think your confidence in the suburbs not voting in Aholes is misplaced.
Sounds like those burbs are mismanaged-Pittsburgh area needs regionalization. City and suburbs should work together. Some of the suburban communities can’t field a police force or fill all local the political posts. Volunteer fire companies need help. Local zoning boards have unqualified people. I think it was about 50 years ago the state had local school districts merge? - it was a good idea.
Gee, that looks familiar? Take a look at the second post in this thread!
Sounds like those burbs are mismanaged-
To my point.
Their property and income taxes should manage their own services.
OkayYes those jurisdictions are like Wilkinsburg/Mt Oliver/Swissvale basically Ghetto's. When i moved out of my parents house (in Banksville a city neighborhood) in 2004 and moved to Green Tree Borough I remember calling my mom for the first snow fall around noon. I asked her if the trucks came to plow the roads yet, knowing full well that they did not. When she said no, I said "oh they already came 3 times here". The City is a joke. There is nothing the city does that the middle class or wealthier suburbs do a lot better than.
No doubt
Sci tech, capa, and Obama are also good but magnets .
Our son is at Dilworth-and we’re not connected politically.
Just lottery
Fulton is our feeder and yes.So if lottery didn't get your son into Dillworth, would you let him go to a non lottery PPS school?
Completely missed it. It was a layup so I shouldn't be surprised. This site was really acting up on me last night. Couldn't type into the responses, it was jumping all over, so not surprised I missed it.Gee, that looks familiar? Take a look at the second post in this thread!
Try to keep up!!
Probably bleary eyed since the Locker Room returned?
I think you're suspect in this educational bribing scandal.Fulton is our feeder and yes.
We made that decision when we bought our house.
Okay
You think not having street parking is a component of easier snow removal?
I am, and proud of it. I am a true Pittsburgher, not one who lives in suburbs and say they are.Written like a true chump.
