OT: penn state proud.....nate parker

Still gonna see the movie.

Also, let's be careful, yeah. I Doubt Pitt has a spotless record handling sexual assault on campus.

Huh??? How does one have anything to do with other? If you want to give money to rapists that's your prerogative. I'd suggest t wait for it on Rainerland or some site like that and see it for free

I was at PSU when there was a lot of "crying wolf" going on. Or so that was the perception. I think the world, not just PSU, was struggling to define where the break point was at and when that line was crossed.

Colleges are not really well equipped to deal with criminal issues. But colleges are also hesitant to expose campus crime to the light of day.

Here's an article that seems like a pretty fair take on the whole situation.

Obviously no school has a perfect record on this - or players getting in trouble.
You miss the point the entirely. For the last 40 years Ped State had put forth a false narrative that their program did it "right" - they portrayed themselves as having a "perfect record". Paturdo supposedly made sure that things were done "right". Local sports writers bought in spreading the gospel - which Pitt fan knew was garbage. We regularly pointed out how Ped State players got in trouble and were given free passes. Paturdo perfected "depth chart justice". The whole thing was exposed by the Penn State Child Molesting scandal. "Success with Honor" and "the Paturdo Way" were scams - as was said here all along. Though I don't think anyone here realized how bad it was.
