Ramirez? Damn, who's that. Need to look him up..
He is young, but regarded as one of the Pirates top 10 prospects and one of the top OF prospects in the game.

They have taken shots like this on Cutch, Marte, Tabata and now Polanco. Tabata didn't work out but they didn't really have to eat to much on that one. Cutch's deal tuned out quite well. I think the others will work out fine too.Like Jose Tabata? Good news is that if you extend a young Guy's contract before he proves himself, you get a discount. The bad news is if the player doesn't develop, then you have to eat the contract. Time will tell....
Yeah. Because of Meadows and Ramirez in the minors, signing Cutch to a ridiculous deal that will take him long into his mid 30's is stupid for the Pirates. Cutch has 2 years at most left here. Enjoy him. But the Pirates should be able to get some decent return for him.
He's a top prospect just getting out of the low minors. I believe he is at AA Altoona this year.Ramirez? Damn, who's that. Need to look him up..

Maybe this will be the year he learns when he's on second base he shouldn't break for third on a ground ball to ss- lol- Kerplunko!Crazy prediction: Polanco finishes with a better WAR than Cutch.
I really don't want to see Polanco loping around in circles in CF. He tends to be a little too relaxes on a lot of plays. Doesn't read balls off the wall in right...what will he do if both walls + the Notch are in play. I'm hoping his power numbers go up this year, his patience has improved. Still a pup.Correct, probably can't handle CF long-term but should be able to play LF at PNC. Not like he needs to play CF, Marte or Polanco could both do fine there defensively.
