#6 seed Pitt beat #3 seed ND yesterday and #2 seed UNC today. Championship game tomorrow vs mighty FSU!
GO PITT WOMEN !!!!
Caught the first inning of the game against ND on Root Sports. Could hardly believe my eyes as the women put up 4 runs in the first. Strung together a bunch of hits - even had one runner thrown out at the plate.
They had a good year - record was something like 34 and 19... But Pitt lost all three games to ND in the regular season. Must be hot at the right time.

They made a great run and were even with FSU at 2-2 after 5 innings before losing 6-2 in the 7 inning game. FSU finished with a 45-2 record for the season so it is an enormous accomplishment to be competitive with an FSU team that is that dominant.
The Pitt ladies may have a shot at being selected to the women's NCAA softball tourney being ACC tourney runner up and finishing 34-20.
