OT: Pittsburgh Day of Giving 5/23....donations will be matched up to $650K....

I kind of think that the way this event Changed over years probably turned few non profits off.
I don't disagree. I have to admit to being very disappointed that they narrowed the list of potential charities so dramatically. Some of my constants were missing this year.

I also have to point out the obvious that many were Christian-based. I don't know much (really anything) about the Pittsburgh Foundation, but going through that list it was apparent that so many were faith based. I personally have no problem with that as a practicing Catholic, but it did stand out to me.

Another one that was a true head scratcher - Allegheny Health Network? Really? Then why not UPMC?

Regardless, it is still a worthy event and I donated to some organizations I had never heard of but looked deserving. Maybe that's the point?

Agreed, I'll I'll raise you a Jewish Community Center. Seems as "critical" as the foodbank right?
