OT - Redskins to drop franchise nickname tomorrow morning

It’s a generic, inoffensive nickname that is as close to Redskins as they can get, that’s what it is.
they should be called the hogs. it's perfect.
Right and you won't see them put on a military uniform to fight for and defend this country like some of us old spoiled brats did

How about the Washington Redfins? I mean have a shark with a red tipped dorsal fin as a logo, a smiling great white logo? I mean Washington is full of sharks with briefcases anyway..
A lot of reporters acted like they had some inside information yesterday when in reality they read twitter just like the rest of us.
How about "Gridlocks"? You can relate it to football, and it's perfect for Washington (as it aptly describes Congress as well as the experience of driving in the city).
Among some of the wild speculation being bandied about this upcoming "blockbuster" is that they bribed game officials.

Though I hope it is for the sake of Redskins fans, I’m just not sure that’s enough to force him to sell. I think he created an out for himself by firing the employees who were explicitly named in the expose.
I’ve updated my idea for their name change. Just name them the Bravehearts and keep the current uniforms, logos, and identity. The son of the tribal chief that was the model for the logo approves of it, you avoid completely throwing away 87 years worth of tradition, and it fits perfectly into the fight song. It also ties into the history of team’s origins, which was first named the Braves.
