Yesterday if you lived in Southern Butler and Armstrong or Northern Allegheny and Westmoreland counties was not a lot of fun.

I just saw this disturbing radar image.... I tried to snip it.......but there is a line of storms from the Ohio Line all the way back to Columbus that is on the exact same path as yesterday. If they continue to move due east that is basically between Butler and Pittsburgh. The exact same area that got hammered yesterday. Which, I live in. I don't live in an area or neighborhood that has flooding or prone, but my god, this won't be good if this continues.

The hail that some areas (I know Pine Richland was one of them) got was like they get in the Midwest or South in the tornado belts. I don’t recall ever seeing anything like that here in the greater Pittsburgh area.

Awesome photo from last night.

Cool and rainy in Vegas. We got snow at elevation recently. Never seen 60 degree highs in May. Awesome.

I don't understand the post. We have violent storms like this literally every year. I've been in 2 tornados in Indiana, PA in 81' and Monroeville in 98' and I especially remember the storms in 85' that killed a bunch of folks in Lawrence and Venango counties. We had hail in Indiana that was like something out of the Bible. I've seen hail dozens of times.

Mid 90s and clear skys for me. It's been mid to high 90s for days now.

I went to Pa for the Memorial Day weekend, and came home to a brown lawn.

We had 6? bad thunderstorms one after another from midnight to 2. Then we lost power. For the next 2 hours we prayed that our sump pits didn't overflow. Looooooong night.

I’ve seen hail dozens of times too as we all have. But I don’t ever recall anything like this around Pittsburgh.

I haven't always lived in Pittsburgh and PA and agree that the local reaction to weather is always WAY over the top, but I must say that relentless volume of rain/flooding, immediately close lightning strikes, and damage that I drove through late last night in southern Butler County was beyond the run of the mill violent summer/spring t-storms that we see every year in the region.

This weather is nuts. We saw the hail hitting our deck last night. The storms are back again.

They're following you !
Did you tell your therapist?
Don't look back those storms will be there!

They'll be back tomorrow too!

This is weather, weather has patterns, and sometimes thunder storms happen????

We have a big black sky with lighting in Eastern PA too?
Charge up your cell, your charging devices, have flashlights, generator, extra gas, full tank in your car because if electricity goes out no gassy, gas for the grill, I'm bar-be-queing tonight, adult beverages should be available, sit out on your porch and watch the fireworks! They're free!
Bad weather provides some great opportunities for entertainment.
We'll keep an eye out for the potential tornadoes, we had two recently, and turn a weather event into fun!

The only negative is Wednesday NIght Men, Women, and Junior Pistol Shooting league was cancelled.

153 disappointed people!

Well the post was because of the incredible rain the day before (3~5 inches) in the Northern Allegheny Southern Butler Counties and there was this long line of training thunderstorms approaching at the same area. Mercifully, they shifted about 10 miles south.

We got slammed here yesterday in the south Hills. There's more coming today. And today's rain looks like an all day event.
