OT: Surprising results for Pittsburgh.....

I travel a lot for work, I am amazed how fat everyone in America is. I was just in Houston for work and stuck over the weekend so I went to the Houston rodeo expecting to see a lot of nice tail, but was shocked to see how many fatsos were around.

haha, doesnt get classier than that

Well Pittsburgh passes the looks test in overabundance of endomorphic body types. This was an observance of my Seattle friend. I told him we push them out, like fish sandwiches during Lenten Fridays. Oh and only 2 people uses the bike lanes, not named Peduto.

Seriously if you look at that list, you will see the list will mirror the following: 1) Ethnic breakdown, 2) College Grads 3) Income Levels.

And Pittsburgh is low in "ethnic breakdown" (meaning low in African Americans and Hispanics) and fairly middle of the pack in college grads and income.

Southern cooking and culture dominates the list along with poor, undereducated and of course black and hispanic heavy areas.

If you look at the overweight part of the rankings (which is what should count for "fattest city"), then Pittsburgh is 26 spots lower than their ranking on the overall list. Because "healthy environment" is part of the methodology (which shouldn't be a factor for 'this' list) where Pittsburgh is 7th best because the city has a lot of parks, it improves Pittsburgh's overall ranking. But really, just because you have a lot of parks for the population size, doesn't mean anything in terms of "fattest". What matter is if people are overweight or not.

In fact, quickly glancing at the list and individual scores per category, I think they screwed something up. Considering that it's Wallet Hub, I wouldn't be surprised.

Yep. Definitely a socio-economic and race issue.
