Another thing, how stupid is it for the Athletics to not use the name Sacramento? They are playing there for 2-3 years. You would think that would be great local marketing for the team.

Why does it matter since you claim that a MLB team would do very well in Sacramento anyway? Which statement was blatantly wrong in this thread or are you going to ask us to agree both statements are correct because of some made up metric?

I just think it's stupid to not use a city name. They are going to be there for 2-3 years. Call yourselves the Sacramento A's and sell some green and gold Sacramento jerseys.

You do know that Las Vegas is paying the franchise to start identifying as "Las Vegas" for the three years they're in Sacramento, right?

Or state/region name. You know what I mean. They previously announced the team will just be called "The Athletics" while in Sacramento. No Las Vegas. No Sacramento. Did that change?
