Tired of the depressing COVID posts, retrospectives, etc......

Hot summer. Finally, local veggies like Zukes, Corn, Tomaters are starting to abound....
So what are you guys making?

Today? Hamburgers on the grill. Boring? Maybe. But it is freshly ground chuck mix from a local butcher that eats as good as steak. Cheeseburger (American of course). Fresh garden lettuce, fresh tomato, fresh onion and homemade pickles make the accouterments to the burger.

With the burger? Fresh corn on the cob. Fried Zucchini. Sliced tomatoes, with drizzle of olive oil, sea salt and fresh basil over top.

Definitely one of my favorite summer meals when everything is in season.

Add fresh garlic to the sliced tomatoes. Outstanding meal.

I’m in Hilton Head. Combined with my Hungarian heritage. Fresh salmon with dried sriracha and honey seasoning. Side of buttered noodles and cabbage........
Desert of banana nut bread with high fat Irish butter.......
Wooo Hoooo.....

just made the same but grilled the zucchini and had buffalo mozzarella with basil. I don’t do tomatoes but the wife enjoys them.

tomorrow I may smoke beef ribs. Still debating may be to hot to stay out at the smoker all day

Made some surf and turf tonight. Filet and scallops. A nice light salad on the side hit the spot.
