OT: Wrexham Win Promotion

The women’s team, for the first time in its history.

The men’s team still controls its own destiny. It is one point ahead of Notts County with 3 matches left to play. It has a game in hand over Notts, so two wins in 3 matches will clinch it.

Notts and Wrexham clearly are the class of the National League. They have 104 and 103 points respectively. Third place Chesterfield has 78. But, only the winner is automatically promoted. The next 4 teams playoff for a chance to move up. Wrexham lost in a playoff last season.

Paul Mullin is hurt and they may not have played 1st team players. They did beat Manchester United's U21s pretty easily. Remember I asked if they were playing the full side? Well it was marketed that way but it wasnt. Granted, EPL sides can do that because they roster 50-60 before loaning them whereas the MLS has small rosters and then an MLS Next Pro team. But that was really misleading.
