PSU dominated for 30 minutes but completely let the game slip away. Keep climbin’

Our buddy Khadim Sy had 8 and 8. Bad loss for Chambers. He may need to buy another recruiting class to keep his job

Best game by far for Sy at Ole Miss from a counting stats perspective. Shocked that the JUCO stats meant zilch.

Chambers loses a lot of these games in the end, his strategies in the last seconds
are as bad as it gets . Throw a lob to to a big running in the backcourt ?
You want to get him the ball but to force it that way, pretty bad.

Sounds like they were close to being a ranked team until this. When the hell was the last time they were ranked in hoops?

The Nits have Cuse, Wake, and Bama coming up. Winning two of these will leave them in good shape going into Big 10 play (barring a season killing loss to Central Connecticut). .500 in the Big10 would then get them in, maybe even 2 games under .500 would work. It gets dicey if they lose two of those games though, and if they lose all three, even .500 in the Big 10 might not be enough, especially if they don't get a win over MSU, or OSU. The win over Georgetown is good, but the Hoyas aren't any kind of elite team. Actually, I'd put Georgetown, Bama, Cuse, Wake, and Ole Miss pretty much on the same level; I'd put us at that level too. If you're an at large caliber squad, you have to get some wins when playing teams at that level.

You just LOVE to see it...stupid Nitters.
I do wish In years past, Pitt had more recruiting success in Philly like PSU did with Chambers (he has a connection or something to Roman), but hopefully PSU falters down the OOC and loses 2/3 of their Big 10 conference games.

Yeah, I'd love to have Watkins and Stevens at Pitt instead of them wasting away in Nitterville.

Its a coaching issue.
The Nitters have to keep the coach in the bench area.
To much celebration with the big lead.

As soon as Chambers called that timeout to set up a play, I knew they were done. When you put the game on his clipboard it’s advantage the other team.

I root for Pitt and whoever plays PSU, ND and WVU. I can't stand pompous, arrogant and nauseating fan bases. PSU/ND think they're better than everyone else and that's what gets me in sports and rooting capacities. So many great ND "fans" out there - STFU. I call you a Walmart fan as that is where you bought your gear.

A Pitt win is the #1 thing on my list obviously.

A PITT win, any win is a 10 on a scale of 1-10

A Nitter loss is a 10 on a scale of 1-10.

I'm a huge Ohio St, Mich, Minn, Iowa, Indiana, fan during football and basketball season.

Chambers is the modern day version of LSU coach Dale Brown. A true story is LSU beating Indiana by 25 points at halftime. Indiana came back and won the game. Bobby Knight was asked about the comeback. His quote, “To the start the second half I looked at the LSU bench and saw Dale Brown so I knew we had a chance to win”

LMAO

Chambers can only dream of coaching two teams to the Final Four.

I wonder if that was the Elite 8 game from 1987 where Indiana came back to win by one point? The Knight courtside phone-punch game.

I remember that like it was yesterday. A real classic.
Another Knight quote: one time he brought a donkey to his weekly TV show wearing a Purdue hat. The donkey sat there very quiet for the whole show. At the end of the show he was asked about the donkey. His answer was, "he's here to give the Purdue point of view".

He's wasted the Philly connection.

If Chambers actually gets let go, (he might have to injure someone to actually get fired) we should offer him some big money for a nice seat on the bench to recruit Philly

He was a great first chair type of coach at Villanova. He’d kill it on Capel’s staff.

Shockingly PSU just beat Syracuse by 18 points. He gets a nice win but still hasn’t been to the NCAA tournament so whatever.
