I know some here on the Lair don't ever want to play Penn State again. As well as, many on BWI say the same thing, but at least Coach Narduzzi is for it, like Coach O'Brien was for it before he left Penn State. Good article on PennLive talking about Narduzzi's Plans for Pitt!
Excerpt;
And as far as Panthers coach Pat Narduzzi is concerned, the wait has been far too long.
"I think the state of Pennsylvania deserves the game,'' said Narduzzi, Pittsburgh's second-year coach, who made his football name coaching the Michigan State defense under Mark Dantonio from 2007-2014.
"I'm not picking the game, I'm not sitting here politicking that we play this game. But I think in the state of Pennsylvania, why should the game not be played?

"Two Power 5 teams in the same state, I just think it's great for the fans, I think it's great for the state, I think it's great for the state economy.''.......................
.....................
Dantonio is one of many men who have shaped Narduzzi's coaching style, a style that will resonate with Pittsburgh fans.
"I think everybody needs an identity and our identity will be a tough football team,'' Narduzzi said.
"Win or lose, you're going to know you're in a battle. We'll play with great effort. I think what are fans will really enjoy is how we'll play all the way to the end of the fourth quarter. We're going to be a fourth-quarter team, we're going to be a smack-you-in-the-mouth football team that's going to be tough.''
"I think everybody's got their own (philosophy) and it's built over time,'' Dantonio continued.
"First thing you need to be if you're going to win championships is, you better be able to run the football. And the defense better be able to stop (the run).''
........................
"Our defense, we will move our talent around to get that speed on the field, whether it's moving a safety to linebacker so it fits his athletic ability," Narduzzi said.
"Definitely hard-nosed. Very smart, especially schematically and just overall,'' Galambos said of Narduzzi and his effect on the Pittsburgh program in a short time.
"He's just a guy with a ton of energy. ... He just knows so much. When he was at Michigan State, they had a top defense every year and we're trying to get that here.''
..............................
Narduzzi knows what he's up against, going against the likes of Ohio State's Urban Meyer, Michigan's Jim Harbaugh, Michigan State's Mark Dantonio, Notre Dame's Brian Kelly and Franklin for the best players in Pittsburgh
"That's probably one of the reasons I took the job here,'' Narduzzi said.
"The talent level (in Pennsylvania) is really good, I think the coaching is very good. So you have a guy like Jordan Whitehead, who can come in and play for you right away.
"The recruiting game has changed a lot,'' Narduzzi added.
"All these early offers go out and our philosophy has always been to take our time. Even though the process is speeded up, if we speed up with the process, you end up with the wrong guys.''
