Well, looking at his practically, Franklin's contract's much more lucrative than Narduzzi's. I'd be pretty furious if Narduzzi got an extension after already being paid around $4.5M following an 8-5 season.
They believed JoePa's Kool Aide on preaching Athletic Integrity but did not practice it most of the time in his own Program, as found out by Penn State Trustees and required many 2012 Athletic Integrity Reforms after the Firing?The sanctions......
Didn't take long for that to come up.
Now Franklin came in praising Paterno but all sudden blames the Sanctions for lack of winning and those sanctions were given over the correcting the Penn State Paterno Era Football Program, that is being honored next week, but Franklin says that is no longer his priority?

It was Coach Pat's first year as a Head Coach and earned an Extension at 8-5, Franklin got a Vanderbilt Extension after going 6-7 in his First Year?
BAMA, OSU, and LSU all gave Extensions in the second years and above $4.5 million in some cases way back when, some Coaches earn value and Franklin did just that at Vandy, but not so valuable at PSU unlike what happen at OSU, LSU and Bama?

That's a funny one! A nitter talking about the truth! Pitt lost more scholarship players than PSU did while under sanctions. That's a fact.
The truth is, you and your ilk have been trying to to rehabilitate the JoePa image for the last 5 years.
A) you attempt to convince people that EVERYONE is lying about the scandal.
B) you provide disinformation and pass it off as fact.
C) you attack the messenger's credibility, whether it's the poster or the author of a negative article.
D) if all else fails, you accuse them of being jealous...

Other schools in the Big Ten Conference not only laugh at PSU, but now they're $hit stomping PSU on the field...Your self esteem has been shattered... All this bad karma is beating on PSU relentlessly... You spend your miserable days revising history to save the Paterno legacy even at the expense of others....
Football? Here's the truth on that subject:
PSU hasn't won a national championship in 30 years! They've only won ONE outright Big Ten title and shared two others in the last 22 years In football! Other schools in the Big Ten have done better (Wisconsin, MSU...)
If you want more truth I can post Franklin's record as a head coach...

Franklin is under New NCAA Monitor 2012 Athletic Integrity Reforms and Paterno was not following them, and left his Program with sanctions that has hurt the FB Program as Franklin said, that is the big difference now!
Nittany Lies don't cut anymore, the Truth has set them Free of Sanctions, now that Penn State University makes all Coaches & Athletic Employees follow all the Rules unlike what happen under that other Era of Errors being Honored at the Temple Game?
Sometimes after you make a hire and see the person in the job, you know you have the right person. Pitt feels it has the right person in Narduzzi--so why not extend? I honestly could careless about your Nit head coach. Considering what he is making, I'd say the initial return on investment has been pretty poor--certainly far worse than what Pitt has attained with the hire of Narduzzi. I fully expect Pitt will be enjoying years of great football under its present leadership. Whether JimmyFranks makes it to the end of his present contract...I doubt. Time will tell. Hail to Pitt!
We will know far more by 4PM on Saturday but Pitt Football Foundation is on sound ground now.
You had only 7 OL because O'Brien under-recruited them, but please feel free to use the sanctions when it's convenient.
He knew that PSU was going to be a stepping stone for him so he recruited accordingly...and for PSU fans the sanctions excuse is always convenient.
It was weird how he just kind of ignored the OL. The problem for PSU is that we all know OL typically need to redshirt. So they've been behind the 8 ball trying to catch up since then. I expect they should improve there in a year or two dependent on good coaching.
If (or should I say when) Pitt wins on Saturday I have a feeling that some folks that donate a lot of money to Penn State are going to remind JimmyFranks that the game is important to a lot of them.
Maybe privately, but if PSU would lose look for all of them to say how this game isn't important.
Well that will be the public stance no matter the result. But rest assured, when we win Jimmy is going to hear it from the people who help pay his salary.
Well... we will see Saturday. Im not as overly confident ever about a rivalry game. Always can go either way. This will be EXACTLY like playoff football... Pro stadium, full, crazy crowd... will be fun!
