Honestly. I came *this close* to turning it off. Instead poured a nice Stoli's on the rocks. I dig this team.
Why would you turn it off? Pitt led from start to finish. I only turn games off if we are getting blown out.
Exactly.Heart attack city...
^^^voice of reason? What the hell got into you?^^^
My stomach can't take it.Why would you ever turn it off?
I've never understood when people say that. Especially in a game when their team never once trailed.
Yes, an 18 point lead went down to 2.... but that's even more reason not to turn it off.
I tweeted this, but......Jamie needs to write on the chalkboard 100 times "I WILL NOT OVERCOACH THIS TEAM. I WILL NOT OVERCOACH THIS TEAM."
ND made a few runs at us, but when we didn't have the answers is exactly when we started to try and shorten the game. And yes, hindsight is 20/20, I agreed with Jamie when he obviously told the guys to not take quick shots and extend possessions. But.......that is just not this team's strength. It took us out of our rhythm and comfort zone.
At the risk of some you guys turning into Linda Blair with your heads spinning around, just go. Run. Shoot. Do what you do well. Keep pushing. Like I said, not blaming Jamie because I thought that was the prudent thing to do, but I think it was a good learning experience, just let this team play, if that means winning 100-91, well it is better than holding on.

Bottom line here: we were essentially a tossup per Sagarin's computer and Vegas had us a 5 point underdog.
But, we won by 4. It's all good except for the need for Xanax and Tums.

Why?? Too change their luck is why. When your team is playing badly. You turn off the tv and their luck changes. Turn it back on and they are playing well. You do this throughout the whole game. One other thing. It's important not to have the radio on when the TV's off. That would be cheating. And that will bring bad luck.
I thought everyone knew/did this.

Double martini time after that one.How about the time delay on ESPN 3 verses phone app. Helps me anticipate the play.

I'm not sure I completely agree with this Owt. It was the Panthers talking quick shots that really led to the Panthers letting the 18 point lead get well under 10. It was after that we started slowing it down, and I think that sort of needed to happen at that point. We needed to regroup.
And this isn't to say that generally speaking, I don't agree with your overall point, especially in reference to this group. Just in this case, they were making bad offensive decisions, and it was hurting them.
Oh I am not trying to be overly critical, because I wanted them to settle down and milk clock also. I thought that was the prudent thing to do. But when we did that in the second half we went back to our past offense where we are too late in the clock to run anything and took some bad desperate shots.
Maybe it's the Stoli and not the Panthers? My stomach can't take it.

You may have a point - nah, it's the Panthers. Sometimes I care too much?Maybe it's the Stoli and not the Panthers?
