PIAA takes SMF's advice

So keep the system slanted to the elitists?

If we're assigning labels, how do we define that attitude?

Again I am in what was recently named the top school in the region by Pittsburgh Business Times. While there certainly is elites in USC the great majority of us are middle to upper middle class. This is a district defined by the residents that pay the bills. Nothing slanted about it. I don't buy a Chevy expecting it to be as well built as a Bentley. You get what you pay for, we pay greatly in USC.

There is a reason why come May every year, for sale signs pop up all over the twp with houses who just graduated their youngest. They paid those premiums while they had a need. The need is no longer there and the next family with that need who is willing to pay the premium will buy it. The cycle is continuous.

Yes. Legalized segregation. They must keep the playing field un-level. There's only so much money to go around. The only way the mega rich can stay rich is if the poor stay poor. So they have to keep them in their schools with 90% poverty and then riddle them with a couple hundred grand in student loans if they actually try to "make it."

Actually, you're both right and wrong. USC's education is better because of the kids, and the teachers, and the curriculum. It's a combination.

GPAs are not created equal across districts. It's why colleges don't care about GPA (unless it's low) and place the emphasis on SAT/ACT scores.
Actually many colleges are getting away from using test scores. Currently over 1,000 colleges have made test scores optional. If anything there is more emphasis being put on GPA/Class rank then standardized test scores.

That's not a fact!

Not all really good schools are in high end neighborhoods.
Many really good schools are in solid blue collar PA communities!

Lots of minorities find a way to move from bad schools to really good schools.
They're the families who make choices, work hard and find a way to improve their lives and the lives of their children!
Others make choices too, bad ones, they don't work hard, and don't improve themselves or the lives of their children.

You are a label guy, one of those worthless social justice warriors who just talks a good game.
As a matter of fact that's all you do is talk!
I remember when you told everyone you were a D1 recruit and played football for the Air Force Academy.
All posters have to do is go back and look at your posts! LOL!

Almost anyone has the upward mobility to move their family to one of those
great hard working communities.

All it takes is some discipline and hard work.

If parents can't find some discipline and do some hard work it's to bad they had
children which is half of the problem to begin with!

Why does it bother you so much that I played football at Air Force?

You called him a “perfect socialist”. That’s a label sweet pea.
