He absolutely need to get more accurate. Guys have to work too hard to even catch some balls.
He doesn't look too good, that's the obvious, BUT - I don't think any of you realize how hard the position is to play - especially considering he's young and in his first year (save a game) + the OL just can't pass block to save their lives. If you don't see progression next year, fine - say whatever you want. Do I think he'll be an "elite" QB...doubtful, but he's certainly not as bad as most think`

14-18 for 142 with a drop and receiver running out of bounds before catching the ball. Should be 16-18 for about 170. Not sure what you expected but Pickett hasn't been the problem this half.
I’m a big “stats don’t lie” person, but they are very misleading in this game. How many times did Pitt receivers catch the ball off the ground, or behind them, or a 1-handed circus catch. How many completions were at the line of scrimmage or within a yard. Pickett has not an accurate qb this game.

Ffrench made a great catch wide open to save his butt. A-J made a great catch to snag a ball off the turf poorly thrown.

If it is, then our offensive scheme is dissapointing. Why don’t we have plays that call for balls thrown between 5-20 yards downfield? Why is it swing pass or bomb?

The last TD pass was definitely a beauty but otherwise I ‘d have to say your comments touting stats to suggest he had been playing well when he definitely wasn’t seem more idiotic.

He was below average in the 1st half. Wasn’t accurate, wasn’t hitting wr’s in stride, couldn’t push the ball downfield.
He’s been MUCH better in the 2nd half. I’m not sure what’s so hard to understand about this.

Maybe he worked on it at halftime haha. The 2 tds were straight darts.
