Pickett just isn’t good

Maybe he worked on it at halftime haha. The 2 tds were straight darts.

Something definitely happened at halftime.

He has gone from looking very uncertain in the pocket to stepping into his throws with confidence.

Credit to the coaches for adjusting as well to Wake stacking the line to stop the run.

Kenny seems to struggle at times finding the laces on the ball or something. The ball comes out late by a split 2nd quite often today.

Pretty sure Tino has the highest completion percentage in Pitt history...confirmed greatest Pitt qb of all time?
Yeah that was the same thing I was thinking every time he thru out another post with his completion-attempt stat line.

If all you use to judge a qb is stats line, then turn your tv off.

He was below average in the 1st half. Wasn’t accurate, wasn’t hitting wr’s in stride, couldn’t push the ball downfield.

He’s been MUCH better in the 2nd half. I’m not sure what’s so hard to understand about this.
Thanks, big turd. Nice to have yet another 'new' negative poster on the board.

Didn’t see anything negative in his post, only realistic. I don’t think there’s anyone on the board here that isn’t estactic with Kenny’s 2nd half performance and the nice looking TD passes, but it sure isn’t out of line to say his start to the game if not most of the first half was not good. We had one guy continuously posting stats adding in receiver drops but forgetting the greater number of instances where the receiver bailed him out with good catches of bad throws.

under throws everyone, throws 3 yard passes on 3rd and long and doesn’t use his legs ever thy key on the rb every time on the rpo.
Dig a hole jump in and we'll cover you up with 6ft of dirt.
Or walk eastbound in the westbound lanes of 376 during rush hour.
You're wasting air

It's not that. It's this pathology that runs rampant among so many posters on this board, that anytime things don't go swimmingly, the sky is falling and every player must be benched. They aren't just having a bad series or quarter. No no no...they suck and were a waste of a scholarship. And I'll leave the coaches out of it.

We have perhaps the most petulant fans in Division !.

Having just read this thread.....I give props to Joey for keeping faith. He who laughs last, laughs hardest. Or at least he shakes his head longest.....

He had some gaffes early on, I mean really early on. Yeah he did have some help with some great catches. After a few good grabs though, Pickett caught fire. Overall today he was amazing.

23 of 30 for 311 and 3 TDs- all clutch throws
Nice work in this thread.
The offense was shaky overall in the first half, but I felt he was reasonably sharp, and mostly throwing darts. They didn't score, but did grind WF down with all of the TOP, and by the middle of the second half you could feel their momentum growing.
WF did a GREAT job of tackling, that was why they were in it through the third, and even they were starting to break, the just kept making that last tackle to keep runners from popping the big long runs.
BUT ... they ran out of steam on the pass rush, and gave KP enough pocket to step up or move and throw.
He snapped that long cross to Mack for the TD, and that throw to FFrench after that ridiculous hold call on Ollison's TD was a clear FU - all in all, he was boss today.

What do you mean?

Did you read the thread? It was after the first quarter. He was playing pathetically.

Don’t monday quarterback my thread
Your screen name is appropriate for you. Don't you know by now that football is a game of resiliance, persistance and adjustments -- calling for your young QB to be benched after the first few series is just assinine.

I know it’s appropriate that’s why I made it. I can’t stabd that guy.

Again, easy to Say that after the game. QBs do get benched affectively. You’re asinine, you can’t even spell asinine moron.

Your comment may have carried a little more weight if Pitt had a backup QB with a pulse.

It is Pickett or bust no matter how he is playing.

These types of "chicken little" posters are on every teams boards. Some just don't get it, but some are actually passionate fans that don't think before they post. I've actually seen alot of Pitt chicken littles CHANGE into positive posters --- it's a much better vibe for the board and our program, which is DEFINITELY on the rise!

Again, I like Pickett. And he played an amazing second half.

He needs to use his legs more on the rpos, as defenses key on the rb. And he needs to step into passes better. He did that in the second half

LOL ... thanks Captain Spellcheck .... it looks like the word "stand" is the chink in your Merriam-Webster armor. You're not going to find anyone to support your post today. Will you have fun standing in the corner by yourself?

He is as good as the weapons around him.

He's the type of QB who will (usually) make the throws open to him, but not the kind of guy who is going to create something from nothing.

WRs need to get open and make plays for him to be effective. That's not a death sentence, that's the type of QB Pitt's had for at least a decade and a half and we've had success, but yeah he won't wow you with his arm talent. His throws to the sideline are really poor and he does tend to have 2-3 bad misses per game out of nowhere.

Pickett won the game. They stuffed the line and dared him to beat him. He did it. He’s maturing in front of our eyes. Well done KP.

Agree, well done KP! Couldn’t get the 2 Sr RB’s going but KP came through in a big way.

I looked at the forest of his posts, not just that one tree. It’s not out of line to say Kenny started slow, along with the entire offensive unit, but to call for his benching in the first quarter after he’s won 5 of 6 is asinine.

As I have said early on this season, Pickett is the best QB Pitt has had in a long time. I believe that the coaches scared him into not making mistakes, because that was the only reason I see for him suddenly missing open WRs.

I didn’t call for anybody to be benched. You have me and JokePa confused.
