Pitt -7 over UNC

Pitt should be a 7 point underdog. NC will blitz Pickett and Howell will be throwing deep 20 times against Narduzzi's Press Coverage. 7 points may not be enough.

It doesn’t take a lot to move off these soft openers, but for it to go from 7 -115 to 6 that fast means someone respected probably hit it, they moved the number then he popped it again.
I'm taking UNC on the money line with my free Rivers promo money. Ease my pain if Pitt loses. Plus I do think UNC will win. Howell and those WR's will score in the 20's and I don't think we can score enough

If Pitt is to beat UNC, it will be a must to score more than 28 points in the first half alone. Pitt doesn't score in the second half except for a rare FG and the other team always makes those halftime adjustments we don't make. And we play not to lose in every game. So we'll need that 28 point cushion just to keep it close.
I agree. I am thinking more like Pitt +13.5. No way we can get a pass rush on them and they will pick us apart all night long.
NCAA stats don't agree with you, we are #3 in the country in sacks and UNC is 119th (out of 130) in sacks allowed--those stats say we should get sacks on them, maybe even quite a few.

What makes you think UNC has a better O line and QB protection than any other team Pitt has played this year?
Pitt may win or lose, but I have no doubt that Pitt will get a pass rush on them.
Howell is the best QB we have faced by far. And its the best WR group besides PSU
From what I have seen of Howell, he may get sacked, but he remains very poised under pressure and moves around well. Unless they sack him in every pass play, he is going to make plays. If the offense doesn’t click this game, it’s going to be a long night unless they can force turnovers and the defense scores. I think the spread is very generous right now. I think Pitt can win, but it’s probably going to be uncomfortably close.
Which is what makes it so odd that they have a losing record.
Some people here seem to not know that.
People tend to ignore that UNC has a spotty defense and isn’t coached very well. It’s a game Pitt should (and needs to) win.
I'm not questioning Howell's skill as a QB. I've seen him play. I'm questioning your statement that Pitt's D won't be able to get a pass rush on him.
Sorry for opening this can of Worms. Panther fan in KY made a comment and I was being sarcastic when i said we wouldn’t get any pressure on the qb and we should be getting 13.5 points. However, I see some of the points here which are, don’t take UNC lightly and their QB is pretty good. But I agree with others, they have a losing record and we are not too bad ourselves.
You didn't open any cans of anything. SMF would like us to believe him when he claims that every team Pitt plays has better players and coaches.
are they not accepting moneyline bets on this one? I looked at one site and it was only taking bets against the spread.
I beat the Pitt drum as loud as anyone here but unfortunately I agree with you on that one.
