... that the Pitt/Virginia series was played in Cary, NC at the USA Baseball facility. Crap! I live less than 25 mins away from there, and given the beautiful weather in the triangle area this past weekend, could have gone to all the games. I can fully understand moving the game due to forecasted weather in Charlottsville , but when was this decision made and was it ever communicated ?? Lots of Pitt alums in the triangle area... would have been nice to have a little rooting interest in an otherwise neutral facility.

Looking forward to upcoming weekends where we're playing Duke and NC State, but really would have loved to see UVa/Pitt.

It was announced either on Thur pm or Fri am

On the Athletic website. You should check it for any updates.

Thanks.

Thanks, John. I would not have ordinarily gone to the game at Charlottesville, so I had no reason to really go to the athletic website to look for that information. It would have simply been an unexpected surprise to know that the game happened to be moved nearby to where I live. Probably the only way to get that word out would have been through the Raleigh-Durham Pitt Club, I guess.

Re: Thanks.

If you aren't on twitter yet, this might be the reason to join. Keep it simple and just follow the twitter accounts of each sports team you follow including in this case Pitt Baseball, and you can easily keep up with team news. That's my recommendation.

Did something similar for the series before against VCU. Was supposed to be in Richmond, VA - got moved to Myrtle Beach, SC. The move was announced in a similar way along a similar time frame.

You know what, you're probably right. I resisted Twitter from the outset, as I didn't see all that much value. But this is exactly the type of stuff that Twitter is perfect for. Thanks!

Re: Thanks.

For those Pitt Baseball fans still not on twitter, today's game against UNC was moved up to 1:45pm due to rain expected later in the day.
