Give up two in the bottom of the second, and then Martinez hits a two run homer to even the game up. And then with two outs Long hits a two run single to give the good guys a 4-2 lead heading to the bottom of the third.
Florida State with two in the 7th, two in the 8th and three in the 9th to beat Louisville and do us a solid.
Because our relief pitching certainly isn't doing us any favors.
Of course it should be noted that all five of the runs that Simmons gave up were unearned.
Wake comes from 5-2 down to beat Virginia Tech.
Virginia now leads Georgia Tech 7-6 in the bottom of the 8th.

If Louisville loses tomorrow Pitt is in even if they lose tomorrow as well. Win and in. Lose and the need Louisville to lose.
I guess that is Bell's thinking too.
Trying to squeeze more than five from Mosley, not using his two top relievers. He knows they need FSU to win, giving us our best chance to win in our next game.
And Florida State does it for us. Beats Louisville 6-2.

We play Notre Dame on Wednesday at 11:00 and then Wake on Thursday at 11:00. Same format as last year, we have to win both to advance to the Saturday semifinals.
I guess the good news was that Wake only scored 10 today. The last two times we played them they scored 23 and 17.
