Coach Pat Narduzzi hopes his friendship with Matt Canada and the success the two have enjoyed will keep Pitt's offensive coordinator by his side beyond this season. After all, Canada's offense is averaging 39.3 points per game — second in the ACC behind Louisville, 15th in the nation and 11 points over last year. But if other coaching opportunities surface as they often do in the offseason, Narduzzi is confident his administration will take the appropriate measures to ensure Canada remains at Pitt. “We're going to do what we can do to make sure Matt stays here for a while,” Narduzzi said. “With the chancellor (Patrick Gallagher) and (athletic director) Scott Barnes, I feel really good about that.”...........“If you're miserable in your job, I don't think all the money and contract incentives can keep you. But if you're happy, maybe it does. “It's not all about the money. If it was about the money, I would have been gone from Michigan State a long time ago. If it's about the money, maybe you got the wrong guy.”
