Georgetown has a great record but their resume is much different than Pitt's. They have only played 3 games vs RPI Top 20 teams. They are 3-0 winning at St. John's and beating Providence twice. Pitt has had many more games in that range, going 2-5. Pitt has lost only 2 games and tied 2 outside this range, losing to UNC and NW and tying Syracuse and Delaware. Georgetown's loss was to Louisville and they tied #72 DePaul.
Common opponents: they both beat Lehigh 2-0. Georgetown beat Syracuse at home while Pitt drew them away.
Its hard to understand what to make of all this other than Georgetown has had a lot more success but against a much weaker schedule. The Big East is a good soccer league but the ACC is insane. I have a feeling its going to be a pretty even game. I'm going to predict it goes to OT.
