He’s Ben Simmons!Anyone else notice in his highlight film not one shot was greater than 10ft . If he develops an outside shot he’s a perfect NBA player .
That's exactly what I thought after watching the video. Poor man's Simmons. That may well work fine at the college level, but as a Sixers fan, I already have enough Simmons in my life. Any sound defensive strategy makes him very ineffective. Hopefully, Pitt would have enough shooters around him to allow to provide enough spacing. Would be a good problem to have...He’s Ben Simmons!
yeah I don't see this happening unless there is some crazy connection.I hope Capel is his godfather or something, going into AZ for a top 100 forward. Surely there are more realistic priorities for the program.
I don’t get this logic. It takes a very small amount of effort to look at film, pick up the phone, and offer a scholarship to a kid. I saw an article from a week or so ago that said that he was planning on making a trip to the east coast later this summer to visit some schools - you throw the kid an offer, see if he wants to take an unofficial as part of his east coast swing, and you see what happens. If he doesn’t visit, you let him know you’re still interested but you haven’t really cost yourself anything.I hope Capel is his godfather or something, going into AZ for a top 100 forward. Surely there are more realistic priorities for the program.

Early helps , but you need his John Hancock on his LOI .Capel probably thinks he's going to blow up. He's a top 100 recruit now, where will he be in a year? If Pitt has a chance with him, it's by getting in early. I'm not suggesting you prioritize him or give him undue focus, but he looks great and there's absolutely no harm in shooting him an offer.
The only major misstep that Capel has made with regard to recruiting priorities was giving that idiot Quinerly an OV and even that isn't a big deal in the grand scheme of things.
Yeah, and if he got in early that's one thing. But getting in weeks after Marquette, Oregon, VTech, Arizona, USC, Texas, Cal, New Mexico, Vanderbilt, and did I mention Arizona.Capel probably thinks he's going to blow up. Well I am pretty sure those were also the first 4 Majors to offer him. I know Marquette, USC, and Vandy got in there months before Pitt.I know he has a weird Final Four it's Marquette, Texas, Stamford and Vanderbilt. I can see why Vanderbilt intrigues him a little bit because of Jerry Stackhouse being a coach and he has other coaches on his staff that got NBA experience.
