Pitt Miami at Noon ABC

HOW IS THIS AT NOON BUT VIRGINIS TECH VIRGINIA at 8:00 ESPN

This is probably a good thing for a few reasons:

1. A late November night game isn't going to draw more fans. In fact, it might hurt attendance

2. Nobody in Western PA will watch this game as the Penguins are in Boston for a 1PM game on NBC.

yeah, november afternoon hockey...got it...

what exactly do you mean by "good thing"?

When you suck and are an inferior product, you get the shaft.

They can at least tout VA/VA Tech as an in state rivalry.

There's not a damn selling point for Pitt football.

Miami will win, probably 49-13.

Miami=FAR SUPERIOR athletics, not even close, just like WVU

yeah and they have a whole slew of acc nailbiters this year to prove it...

yeah to you, Pitt superfan, I know...
It's because I'm a Pitt fan that I'd rather have the truth shouted from the mountain tops than act like everything is OK. It's because I care that I don't want to pretend their aren't major problems. You can keep being an apologist.

LOL! You are actually stupid enough to dispute the FACT that The U is DEFINATELY a better athletic program than Pitt? Wow! Pitt is a national bottom feeder in athletics overall. and now with both basketball and football in the gutter, we are utter garbage in sports, celebrating an 8-10 soccer season as if we just won the World Cup.

by the way, when you call someone stupid you should definitely spell the word definitely correctly. Or at least refrain from all caps when doing so. hahaha, but I digress.

Hmm, where did I say that? I think a team that struggled with Syracuse and NC is at least within striking distance for Pitt at home on a cold sloppy day... Definitely,

When you're wrong on the substance always look for spelling and grammar errors. And leas is spelled LEAST isn't it?

Give me a break with this WVU crap; they went 4-8 in 2013.

SMF as usual you nailed this one in your post in the other thread on the same topic!

And you mention that a negative is good??

What a fan!

They've had multiple MAJOR successful seasons in the 35 years since Pitt played on NYD, wasn't that long ago they scored 70 in a BCS bowl, they are a far superior athletic program right now, they will crush Pitt basketball this month.

I don't see how anyone can legitimately argue against WVU's athletic superiority over Pitt at this point.

No, there's a good chance that I might actually attend this game-I'll be in town for Thanksgiving, but it's not up to the TYPICAL fan like myself to make the program better at all. I'm just like the typical Alabama or tOSU fan, ONE OF THE MILLIONS who are a fan, but donate nothing, many NEVER attend a game, they are fans, and have nothing to do with success or failure, JUST LIKE ME. I would bet that no program gets money from even 10% of the people who claim to be their fans.

This is a good spot for someone to chime in about how we are better at academics, anyone? Or maybe a hillbilly joke?

But, yeah, they're sports programs are far superior.

Pitt played on NYD more recently than Miami.

It helps. Hence why WVU is better.

Keep doing a little research....

You're not seriously using the Fiesta Bowl against Utah in this argument, are you? That was the biggest fluke in the history of the bowl system and you know it.

Just responding to one of the posts....hate to destroy the party with facts.

After watching Miami this past Saturday, I don't see us scoring a touchdown against that defense.

Those guys were flying to the ball. The only way PITT will be able to move the ball against Miami is misdirection and screen passes. Unfortunately, I haven't seen PITT throw one successful screen pass this year.

The players on the Miami defense are going to be disappointed. They will only get to wear the turnover chain for a few minutes each.

OK we went 8-4 and got blown out 35-7 in the Fiesta Bowl! So, OK, we are better than WVU and Miami. Actually, 2004 is my favorite season in the last 35 years! I loved that fckn team! That shows just how bad this program is, that a fan who's watched every game since the '70s would consider that among the best seasons.
