the overwhelming history of the series has been played in pittsburgh, going back to 1903. i always assumed that it was for bigger venue and PSU recruiting WPA.

Yeah. Except that he lost 2 of the 3.

Sure he did. But he had to like his chances. It took a Herculean effort by the 1980 Panthers to win the middle game.

Reid played on the 68 and 69 undefeated Nit teams. I always remember Jack Geig saying he went to high school with Reid and used to knock him around to keep him in line. I really miss the old Altoona Panther.

Amen! Geig was one of a kind. He is missed by many!
