With an rpi of 5.

Ped state jumps 5 spots to #4 after a strong week beating nebraska and purdue.

I think, as someone already mentioned, unless top teams start losing, we may have reached our ceiling in the polls. Only other acc team ranked is #21 louisville and no other teams are in the others receiving votes caregory. Since the acc is so weak our sos is weak, obviously.

If Pitt can stay undefeated, they will likely be one of 16 seeded teams and host their own regional.

If Pitt stays undefeated the question won't be if they get a top 16 seed, it will be if they get a top four seed. My guess is no, but of course a lot of that would depend on what the other top teams do between now and the end of the season.

Pitt could easily lose one game and still be completely safe for a top 16 seed. They can almost certainly lose two and still be a top 16 seed. If they lose three then they are probably going to have a hard time getting one.

I agree. I think 2 or less and they are in sweet 16. I also think even if they go undefeated, that they still may not get a top 4 seed.

The problem is that the committee is going to look at our resume and it's possibly going to have no top ten wins and two or maybe three top 25 wins. And then they are going to look at some other teams with some losses and they are going to see three or four top ten wins and six or eight top 25 wins, and that's a big difference. A difference that is going to be hard to make up for by pointing out that the team with all those wins also lost a couple games to top ten or 25 teams.

Do you guys know if they look at sets won/lost? Basically wondering if it hurt us at all losing a set against nc state or not?
