It’s not like we even tried. They clearly had three receivers to the right on two of their scoring plays in the OTs and we countered with two DBs. 3>2. Pitch and catch. From a QB to a WR not a TE to a DE.We never even got close. We wouldn't have stopped them in 40 OT's.
Absolutely true. Neither of the two are worth a pint of piss!I agree - between him and Tomlin you’re paying close to $28MM a year for straight trash!
A Don Cherry quote. I like itHe could have also easily won it by just running on 3rd down. But if my aunt had a d*ck, she’d be my uncle.
They should make them bus homeHe should be fired before he ever gets on the plane home
WTF was that call on 3rd down?
Why?
I would say because he is an arrogant asshole! This is the biggest issue! Why didn’t he start this game!
He's watched practice for the last three weeks and it was decided that Lynch was better?!Pat needs to go, if for no other reason, the fact that he started Lynch when it is clear he couldn't carry Dugger's jock strap.
According to ESPN play by play we were 4th down on the 47 which would make it a 64-65 yarder. EDIT: My bad...we were on our own 47....you are correct.Because it would have been a 69 or 70 yarder?
This. You have dugger and Reid running all over them and don’t use them at all. That was a terrible decision to have the tight end attempt to throw a pass to another tight end. Someone should get fired for that decision.
That was a great play call and it’s okay to expect the players to make the plays. The offense didn’t lose this one. That was a terrible decision to have the tight end attempt to throw a pass to another tight end. Someone should get fired for that decision.
I don't understand that call either...Heck, take a shot. It's the last play in regulationAccording to ESPN play by play we were 4th down on the 47 which would make it a 64-65 yarder.
I can’t understand a coach creating that play even as a joke … a joke you never use …never run etc…That was a terrible decision to have the tight end attempt to throw a pass to another tight end. Someone should get fired for that decision.
Maybe he borrowed that dumbass Tomlin's sunglasses and couldn't tell what he was watching. He's watched practice for the last three weeks and it was decided that Lynch was better?!
Nick Saban agreesI don't understand that call either...Heck, take a shot. It's the last play in regulation

Except he let a TE throw to a lineman to win the game. You can’t get a yard running twice against the MAC to win a game. This staff blows period. Just a bonehead move to let a TE throw the ball to a lineman when you’re a yard from winning then you puss out and kick from the 1.Should have went for it 4th down and 1 yard. And the QB should never have missed the wide open game winner
It’s a great play call when you have a dual threat QB throw the ball. It’s an incomplete pass when you have a tight end throw it.That was a great play call and it’s okay to expect the players to make the plays. The offense didn’t lose this one.
Narduzzi’s defense was terrible.
LOL…not a pint?!!Absolutely true. Neither of the two are worth a pint of piss!
It would have been a 66 yarderThat's simply incorrect:
3rd & 11 at PITT 47
(0:35 - 4th) Julian Dugger run for 2 yds to the PITT 494th & 9 at PITT 49
(0:01 - 4th) Timeout Pittsburgh, clock 00:014th & 9 at PITT 49
(0:00 - 4th) Julian Dugger sacked by Daniel Bolden for a loss of 10 yards to the PITT 39
The Pitt 49 makes it a 69 yarder if we go back the standard 8.
That and not going for it on 4th downNick Saban agrees
Joe - Why not take a shot anyway? What's the harm? He's nailed 57 yard FG's with plenty to spare. That's simply incorrect:

The stupid thing is that we apparently didn't think we could get one yard in two plays running the ball, so we chose to go to overtime where we would have one play to score from the three.
One of those is a lot easier than the other. And we chose poorly.
Pretty much zero chance of kicking it that long, plus the angle of the kick would have been susceptible to being blocked.Because it would have been a 69 or 70 yarder?
Did you not see my edit? I corrected myself.
Been there done that....LOL.Not until after I made my post.

If only you were there to explain that to Pat!The stupid thing is that we apparently didn't think we could get one yard in two plays running the ball, so we chose to go to overtime where we would have one play to score from the three.

Yeah, but we'd have had one play to do it from the 3 instead of two from the 1. So you can kind of see their logic.
