The continued success running the ball makes all those passes two drives ago that led to the pick 6 just so much more frustrating.
Pretty Narduzzi-esque for them not to call a timeout here. Now you give us a chance to have a Hail Mary. Personally, if I was Pitt I would have called timeout with 7 seconds and tried to get to the 1st down marker (risk/reward is much higher because at worst you're giving Toledo a Hail Mary attempt), but I don't expect Narduzzasaurus to be able to think things through to that extent.

I was thinking the same thing. Call timeout with about 8 seconds left and then throw the ball past the sticks and try to get a first down. If you get it, kick the field goal. If you miss, defend a hail Mary for overtime.
The only good news about OT is that it pisses off the Rutgers fan base.
I would blitz us every time. It's just a free shot at our qb. We never pick it up. This o-line is less than MAC level. We can't generate any heat on their qb. It is sad that Toledo's O-line is better than ours!
I mean it would have been fun to see him try, but that would have been a 69 - 70 yarder. The chances of him making that were, well, about the same chance we had of successfully throwing a hail Mary with our offensive line holding up long enough to allow the receivers to get down to the goal line.

Heckuva run by Dugger. Though I'm not sure how open Fowler-El would have needed to be for him to pull the trigger... cause he was pretty open in the end zone, and I would have to think Dugger saw him.
Thought Brewu held him up long enough for someone to gee there before he got a 15 yard gain.
