If we beat SMU, we will be in some brackets. If we finish 7-1, we will make it. It starts tomorrow.
At this point it is going to be hard to make the tourney. I think and most likely wrong, he should be using is bench a lot more then he does. He just abandoned it. Kante needs more minutes, Cummings will see more time that Dunn is out.
This was never a tournament team. Weird things happen in the beginning of the season. Look at some of the teams UNC played close.

WVU was early and their defense wasn't ready yet. You cant score on them now. Ohio State was somewhat lucky given the missed FTs and the bad 3 Point foul call that gave us 3 points.
The early signs were giving up 68 points in 26 minutes to Wisconsin where we made Tonje look like LeBron and then looking like a D3 team vs Miss St.
We were fooled by this team. Its not a good team.

- Can't rebound
- 3 point shooting is average
- No rim protection
The team relies on tough 2s in the lane from Lowe and Leggett. That isn't a recipe for success. We arent going to defend or rebound well so the only chance of victory is Lowe and Leggett scoring very efficiently.
Cummings was not playing because he couldn't defend at this level. In the last 9 games we have found out that regardless of who we play, this team cannot defend. Therefore he needs to be in the lineup. He is not a dribble drive guy at this point, like Leggett, so he can offer something different from Lowe. Leggett has been a bad player in this 2-7 stretch. He is a black hole! When the ball gets to him, the rest of the Panthers stand and watch because they know he isn't going to pass.
It would be nice to see Kante play more as well. Put him in and tell him not to worry about offense, just defend and rebound. Corhen isn't doing the job. When someone fails repeatedly, it's time to try another option. Capel has stuck with the plan over the last 9 and we are 2-7. It's time for a change!
