I remember a Pitt team getting their asses handed to them at Wake 2 years ago and then turning around and beating that same team in the ACCT. As concerning as this looks tonight, some of this is just everything going the other team's way.
They were ranked last week…top 25 team on the road.
I wouldn't mind seeing them at this point.
Not a bad ideaI'd be playing Delalic, Amadou Kante, Cummings and Jorge pretty much the rest of the game. Just get them some experience in an environment like this and let the other guys sit and watch.
Nah, Jaland Lowe has 20 points and a couple assists, he's going to lead the charge on a comeback! /sI'd be playing Delalic, Amadou Kante, Cummings and Jorge pretty much the rest of the game. Just get them some experience in an environment like this and let the other guys sit and watch.
LGP1986—If your so miserable you should turn off the game and go watch some reruns-you seem miserableI wouldn't mind seeing them at this point.
Not miserable, just recognize we should be coaching for a 30-35 game season.LGP1986—If your so miserable you should turn off the game and go watch some reruns-you seem miserable
I think misery is the tone—Not miserable, just recognize we should be coaching for a 30-35 game season.
This game might help Pitt in the end, it will show them they have to be tougher. MSU is also shooting the lights out. Almost 60% is pretty insane.
You are never as good as you look in your best game, or as bad as you look in your worst.I remember a Pitt team getting their asses handed to them at Wake 2 years ago and then turning around and beating that same team in the ACCT. 4 might even be too generousDuring the game I heard that Lunardi is predicting 12 teams for the SEC in the NCAA's; 4 for the ACC. After this two day debacle by the ACC teams, that may not be far-fetched
Right—seemed like an old big East game..It will be interesting to see how Miss St does in games where the refs call it closer
If anyone was wondering how the current Pitt team would stack up with the mid-to-late 2000 Pitt teams, there you go; not that it is an entirely fare comparison. But at least for this game, it looked like the team has adopted the old stereotype of ACC softness. It's only one game though, and Pitt is missing who is most likely its most physical starter.Right—seemed like an old big East game..
More—you’re making my head hurt talking about Looneyardi!During the game I heard that Lunardi is predicting 12 teams for the SEC in the NCAA's; 4 for the ACC. After this two day debacle by the ACC teams, that may not be far-fetched
The SEC is buying all the coaches and the players. Even the big10 can't keep up. The haves will be fewer, the have nots will be many and it is happening very quickly.I fear the gap in college basketball will only grow. The SEC and Big 10 will buy anyone they want. MSU went out and bought 5 high major transfers this year. Pitt got 2. I fear the big east teams are going to become irrelevant in the coming years. Nova is already going down. Providence is no good. Many of those schools wont have the money to keep up. The ruining of college sports is accelerating.
Corhen, Guillermo and Amadou Kante, 56 combined minutes, 2 total offensive rebounds, 1 total defensive rebound.
I get it. Lunardi is weak but he's about the only talking head that comments about the tournament this early. Point is, the difference - now - between the ACC and SEC is ginormousMore—you’re making my head hurt talking about Looneyardi!
I think that if you played an old fashioned big East game today in the ACC, your fouls would be unbearable. If anyone was wondering how the current Pitt team would stack up with the mid-to-late 2000 Pitt teams, there you go; not that it is an entirely fare comparison. But at least for this game, it looked like the team has adopted the old stereotype of ACC softness. It's only one game though, and Pitt is missing who is most likely its most physical starter.
Uh huh. And poor defense.
