Virginia was steamrolled.....here's the proof...

• An easy sweep....3 sets to 0.....Pitt won each set by an average score of 25 - 11.....a 14 point difference per set.....amazing
• Pitt hitting % .393.....Virginia - .011
• Points/set......Pitt 18.3.....Virginia 10.0
• Points/set given back due to errors....Pitt 3.0.....Virginia 9.3
• Scoring 10 pts/set and giving back 9.3 means you have no chance whatsoever in winning a set in a million years!
• Total domination by Pitt in every aspect of the match
• Everyone on the Pitt team played well but Stafford stood out in particular....she hit .455%....11 kills....only 1 error....2 blocks....8 digs....13 points

This was as dominating a performance as any we've seen all season.....Virginia is not a bad team (17 - 4 record before tonight). They were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.....namely facing Pitt playing at their very best. I wonder if Virginia Tech was watching.....the next to the last place team in the ACC. If Pitt plays this well on Sunday they may be arrested for assault and battery! Lord Have Mercy!

Agree.....but we've reached a point in the season where Fisher will want his starters to reach and stay at peak performance. I was surprised the subs didn't play more last night.

I hope so. that may make the final scores seem a little closer. I would like to see more Blaire, and more Cat (Cat has been a bit of a revelation lately)

I’m sure we will see a heavy dose of Nisa as well. Coach seems to like to rest Fairbanks when he can.

I think it’s the old “our second team is better than their first”. Play our starters the first set then start sending in the backups.
