That 4th down miss was on Pickett. 28 was wide open. He held the ball too long.
14-0 turns into 3-0. Seems to be a common theme this year.
Play calls sucked but that was all Kenny on the 4th down. He has a receiver wide open at the start of the play and he didn’t pull the trigger. The ineptitude of this offense inside the red zone is astonishing

I don’t get the direct snap to AJ Davis on second and goal.
The run game isn’t great, especially at the point of attack, so common sense says that you wouldn’t want to tip the opponent that you’re running the ball. Didn’t surprise me that it got stood up at the line of scrimmage.

well when you decide to abandon the running game in the off season , this is what you get.
What? Who doesn't love running a play from the wildcat with only one guy in the backfield and no motion across the formation? I mean the possible play calls there were, ah, well, er, OK, not really limitless there, were they?
We lose because of our lack of a redzone offense. We are down right horrible inside the 20!
No doubt. Some teams are probably good enough to tell you this is what we’re gonna run and still be successful. Pitt certainly isn’t one of them.
