Team is really looking good today. Bentley gave Cruz a run, Forys really performed in winning against the #7 ranked Parker, Zanetta with a big 3rd period to get a 6-1 win, Lee lost a tough 4-3 decision to the #19 guy while in deep on a takedown as time expired, and Rahmani REALLY looked good in picking up a major decision to give Pitt a 10-6 lead.

Some tough matchup coming up though. Hope they can keep it going. This team has come a long way

Ouch. Wentzel gets teched. Some weird scrambling where Wentzel got out chain wrestled and ended up down 12-1 in the first. Back to back top 5 guys from Lehigh up next

Harvey gave max effort as always but Lehigh's guy was beast mode. 10-1 loss. 19-10 Lehigh

Solomon goes down in the last 30 seconds 3-1. Pitt falls 25-10.

Still some good wrestling today all around. Lehigh was just better overall. This improvement for the Panthers this season is obvious, but still a ways to go. Looking forward to seeing how this improvement carries over to the post season

The slow but steady improvement continues. I am very much a realist but I feel everyone should remain very encouraged by what we see. Gavin and Co know what they are doing. So many guys on this team are young but they are battling every match. We should all appreciate the chance we have to watch this program develop before our eyes.

I hope the coaches and parents that are involved with the highschoolers are taking note. Gavin and Co are good people and have an outstanding university that will sell itself.

Wentzel made me look like I might know what I'm talking about in my comment after the Duke match. First, he hangs on to a bad position and gets reversed in the final seconds to lose to Virginia he controlled during the whole match. Today he gets teched by a guy that was as strong as he is and made him pay for his sloppy positioning.

Like Rahmani, if he looks back over this year, gains some humility, and decides to focus his mind to learn from it, he can have a nice career moving forward. If he cant over come his personality, he will be frustrating to watch for three more years as his sloppy attitude inhibits him from reaching his potential. When that constant Kyle Dake posing goes away, you will know he is serious about getting better.

I am still trying to figure out if Bell and Stoudt really want to wrestle.

Does anybody out there know if any middle weights are being recruited. Seems to me there is a lot of potential for a freshman to step in some of those slots next year. How about a 197 Lbs guy. Penn State is over flowing there.

Bono will wrestle at 184 or 197 next year I imagine. I really like the video I saw of the kid from Ohio. Of course, a highlight video only is going to show his best performances. His strength is that he is strong and is a pinner with two or three good pin combinations. His weakness is that they all come from the left side and all start with the same takedown. He is the Ohio State champ at 160, but wrestles in some tournaments at 167, so he should be able to save us from the agony of watching Bell.
