Pitt vs Mizzou Game Thread

Last year's team, although not super talented, was just a great bunch for spacing. Elliot shooting, Burton on the iso, etc.
It will absolutely be a fight for the NIT with this bunch. Leggett isn't Burton, and Austin can't shoot or create off the dribble. And it'll all result in a lack of spacing for Hinson. Just not enough skill on this team. I thought we could be way tougher/faster/defensively better, but we're not.

Missouri runs great plays , Pitt's play. Just give it to Hinson.
Does anybody have a set of nuts on this team? They care more about getting it to Hinson than they do about getting it to the hoop.

And our entire offensive gameplan is about launching 3s.

I'll bet a large sum of money Missouri ends up a few games over .500 and this ends up being a bad loss.

That's who we are. This isn't a good team. Bub is not even close to what this board hyped him up as.
Don’t ya know before the game the other team sucks and Pitt is the greatest then the game happens and the same guys say Pitt sucks. You’ve been on this board long enough to know that
Just awful. Any team with a pulse inside is going to give us fits. As a team, we can't count on the three ball like last year. We are in for a tough season.

Bub and Ish were 1-12 from 3. That’s not going to happen again this year.
We just need to have something to go to that aren’t just 3’s. Bub creating is probably that answer, but guys need to catch and finish.

Florida and Mizzou have found the template. Any team with big physical guards or good perimeter defenders in general can disrupt Pitt because they have no threat of entering the ball into the post and getting it back out.
Gates is really good.
Mizzou had no business winning 20+ games last year and going 11-7 in league play. Damn good hire by Mizzou.

Yep. G. Diaz is gonna be playing more because he can provide some kind of offense. Fede is gonna lose a few minutes. He has zero offensive moves. Just dunks.
I’m fairly certain Gates has gotten a ton of love over the years from the guys who really follow college hoops. He’s definitely a rising star.
Agree.Actually would have liked to have seen a little more Lowe. Felt he showed well.
Again, how do you go inside when you have no one to finish? We were on a nice run in the first half and had a 6 point lead when Fede got eaten alive on what should have been a dunk. Also Lowe threw him a nice oop pass that any decent 7 footer would have smacked down, but he couldn't get it. Our inside guys are just too weak to matter at both ends. This team needed Papa Kante, I am at least certain he would have helped at the defensive end. Fede is starting to remind me of Terrell Brown.
U shouldn't have been. They do seem well coached.
