Plenty of Brawl tickets available

Mom, dad, and their 2 volleyball playing daughters who bought $5 tickets will most assuredly NOT be spending $300 to watch the Pitt basketball game in person.
Maybe not, but there are plenty of others who might. Including volleyball season ticket holders who might want to make a Pitt sports doubleheader out of it. There is always the possibility that someone else might do something that you would not.

Aren’t you Mr. Stubhub or SeatGeek? You can get tickets for half that price on those sites closer to game time if money is an issue.

There absolutely were people who went to the volleyball game last Friday who then went to the basketball game. Because someone sitting behind me came in late and the person sitting next to them asked them if that was why they got there late and they said yes.

I mean probably not a lot of them, but there were at least a few. Probably about the same number of people who would actually go to the basketball game if it started at 7 but decide not to because it starts at 8.

I did that for a few years. Been buying season tix for football and basketball for a long time now. During late Dixon 2 and Chryst, I gave them up for a few years and got much better seats cheaper on Stubhub.

They dont advertise. There's 0 marketing. I was at the Pitt/UVa football game. Very nice crowd. You'd think they could do a feature during a timeout "hey fans, Friday Night is the Backyard Brawl. Get your tickets for as low as XXX. There are ticket representatives in the Great Hall tonight to take your order."

Listen, here's the deal. Pitt fans and casual Yinzer hoops fans arent going to ever fill The Pete again consistently unless we are a Top 10 team. Well, not at these prices. Pitt tickets should be dirt cheap until we can sell out of season tickets and then slowly raise it. For example, BC tickets, in a smaller arena are $150 for the season and $50 for youth. Maybe that's a little too low but this sounds about right:

Worst uppers: $200
Good uppers: $250
Worst lowers: $300

Total price with donation. The goal should be to price tickets so you sell 11,500 season tickets. Then next year, raise it by $25. The Pete is a morgue most of the year.
Not a single person who is interested in tickets is buying drom
The Pitt ticket office based on an in game advertisement during a football game .

Nobody

Do you know how advertising works? Does a single person buy Pepsi solely because they saw a commercial for it during an NFL game? A large percentage of potentially interested Pitt/WVU ticket buyers don't even know they are playing on Friday. You have 40K people at a football game. Tell the fans there's a big game on Friday. Its easy to do.

Stop it

You gate keepers are idiotic

I’ll assume you’ll be at the game ?
Mind your own business
We have 6 season tickets for basketball and 4 for football, I’m a Panther Club member and Alliance 412 Member. The tickets are used for every game.

Buddy -
Nobody is buying Pepsi because of advertising
They have advertised for pitt basketball tickets during every game (I missed uva )
So your point is moot .

Which is probably why they did, in fact, do that.

You must have been in the restroom at the time.

And I can't imagine that there are people who are actually interested in going to the Pitt - West Virginia basketball game but still haven't been bothered to take the approximately six seconds it would take to find out exactly when the game is. They'd have to be as clueless as, well, I won't say it. But you know who.

If Pitt athletics is the be all end all for you have at it. Some people like a little diversity in their lives and don’t obsess or tell others what they should do. I hope you enjoy your time at the games and feel your investment is worthwhile - truly - but you’ve gotten pretty obnoxious with some of this stuff.

Smf proves over and over again that he doesn’t actually go to games

Maybe it’s just my growth as a person or something-
But I’ve definitely started falling in the mind your business and stop telling others what to do or how to spend their money camp .
I haven’t seen DMB for a long time (mostly because I hate starlake )
But didn’t think about it being at ppg (an easy bus ride )until this thread .
Wife still doesn’t want to go- so may grab a ticket for the wvu game instead after my work party .

Not to be trite but life is short. Anyone who finds anything they enjoy, go for it. I don’t care what it is. I’ll even entertain hearing/conversing about it even if I have little to no interest in whatever it is. But ffs, don’t tell me how to spend my time and/or money. I’ll never give a dime to an NIL and wouldn’t even if I hit the lottery and became filthy rich. Many more important things or higher priorities I’d donate to. But for those who do - good for them.

Might be the largest student crowd in Pete history. Looks like they gave whole sections of unsold tickets to students. Good idea if you cant sell them. The fact they couldn't come close to selling this game out with regular fans is something Allan Greene has to figure out. This team has been NCAAT good the last 2 years.

Actually....real Pitt fans care about any Pitt team that is #1 and competing for a national championship.....you're not a real Pitt fan.
Volleyball is trash. Nobody cares. We were raised as pitt football and basketball fans. Nobody cared about women's sports back then and there's no need to change what works.

The single biggest obstacle to Pitt’s long-term success is their own fanbase. Some people choose to be part of the solution.

Do you dude! But you're obnoxious about it.
