Popeyes NIL with D-ll player

What? An actual good use of an NIL deal? not just shipping someone dollars to play for your school? Lake Erie College will probably get hit with a sanction of some sort!

But sadly, the Popeye's leaves a lot to be desired in Northeast Ohio. And I LOVE Popeye's.

Still have never been in a Popeyes.
I guess mostly because they are still relatively few in the Pgh area. There is apparently one being built on Route 65 in Bellevue that seems to be taking a decade. I am not aware of others in the Pgh northern region. We can’t get / keep Sonic here either despite significant regional advertising for each that each does, which is curious to me.

Popeye's is really good. As good or better than CFA. Sonic is basically overpriced concession stand food.

Sonic actually has never looked appealing to me, their stuff doesn’t even look good in the ads, so I can only imagine poor tasting they actually are. Popeyes at least look as if it could be good.

It just seems the volume of advertising doesn’t jive with the relative lack of outlets in this region. Long John Silvers is another. I believe most if not all of them in this region have long closed down, I have not seen one in at least a decade. But there the ads are, showing on all the local stations, at least during the local news, which is the majority of the local channels I tune into (for non-sports) on semi-regularly. Law firms, online casinos, roofing companies, the hot West Shore woman, incessant political ads that will soon be starting up agin…and Sonic, Popeyes, LJS in between. Weird.

EDIT. Wayne the Train knock-out dentistry ads too. He sat in my row at Pitt Stadium the last couple years there, nice guy.

Popeye's restaurants are all franchises. I visited one for the first time ever just before Christmas. The service was horrible and they screwed up the order. Had to wait over 20 minutes for my food and discovered the mistake when I got home. Called their customer service and restaurant to discuss and received an unsatisfactory resolve.

Being that they're a franchise I'm sure some stores are better than others, but I'll pass. Too many other choices out there for me.
